The Race
A race for the lake.
Lake Kremasta is one of Greece's largest artificial lakes. Created in 1965 by the confluence of four rivers — Achelous, Agrafiotis, Tavropos, and Trikeriotis — it spans the borders of three regional units.
The Kremasta Lake Run was born from the wish of two local associations — the Hounis Environmental Association and the Agrafa Mountaineering Club — to showcase this unique landscape through an athletic tradition. A race that is simultaneously a celebration of nature, a reminder of our duty to protect it, and an invitation for more people to discover the Agrafa region.
Supported by the Regions of Central and Western Greece.
Respect. Participation. Continuity.
01 Respect
For nature, for residents, for fellow athletes. Zero waste, marked routes, strict leave-no-trace compliance.
02 Participation
From elite runners to first-timers — there is a course for everyone. Kids, families, locals.
03 Continuity
Not a one-off event. The goal is an institution that grows year after year and gives back to the region.
